Read-A-Thon
Our Read-A-Thon finished the 20th of July, and guess what? We raised $1,230. We will be receiving $984 since we went through an organization that helped us raise the money. We are making things happen!
Woohoo! The kids (pictured above) were gifted gift cards for their hard work! Great job!
Car Wash
Also for the car wash we raised $95 which is amazing considering we only washed about 5 cars. We did it all, interior and exterior cleaning.
Thrivent Contribution
We have to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Thrivent, a Christian financial service company, who sponsored the car wash. They donated $250 for us to purchase materials to pull this off from soap, to cloths, to a vacuum and we made tires shine. Myriam's neighbors were impressed.
Whole Foods Bags of Goodies
In the works: we have received a generous gift from Whole Foods of fourteen bags of awesome stuff, including sparkling water, Tony's Chocolonely, Kettle potato chips ... and more! All in a nifty reusuable Whole Foods bag. These bags are going fast at $25 each! All proceeds are going toward our next educational event.
